Tarangire is one of our favorite game parks, and it has a very high concentration of elephants, zebra, eland, and wildebeests. (and plenty of their natural predators as well). Even though this is only the first day of safari we will have a great full day of viewing majestic game, followed by a one hour drive to our tented lodge for the night.
Day 3 – Today we will drive to Lake Manyara National Park. Despite the small size of the park, it boasts a remarkable variety of habitat due in part to the diverse vegetation, which ranges from savanna to marshes to acacia woodlands. In addition to the striking setting and peaceful surroundings. Its main attractions are the tree climbing lions, hippos (there is a large hippo park at one end of the park where visitors can get out of the car and view safely from a distance) and also the bird life including flamingoes is some of the best in the region.

It is here that Louis and Mary Leakey discovered the fossil footprints of Zinjanthropus Bosei, estimated to be over 1.4 million years old! There is a visitor center here and onsite museum, and also an active Masai population and there is an option to make a visit to a nearby village to observe and even participate in some of their traditions, including dancing and culinary practices. After lunch, it is one to the southern end of the world famous Serengeti Park

After lunch,we have time for more viewing and a good chance to see zebras, hippos, antelopes, elands, and there are also over one thousand of the reclusive African leopard along with one of the largest herds of mammals in the world with over a million wildebeests calling this part of the park home.
